POKéMON Day 2026: 30th Anniversary ATC Swap

CALLING ALL POKéMON TRAINERS!

Let us celebrate the 30th Anniversary of POKéMON. I would like to host an ATC Swap. Let’s celebrate POKéMON’s legacy through creativity, care, and craftsmanship.

Each participant will have One (1) Partner.

Theme:

• Any POKéMON

• Any Generation

• Any Art Style

• Any Character (Professors, Trainers, Rocket Members, etc.) in POKéMON.

Each must create Six (6) different ATCs for the swap. Please only join if this feels comfortable for you!

No stickers slapping, card must have some originality to the card.

Mediums Encouraged: Colored Pencils, Pens, Markers, Paint, etc.

Altered POKéMON TCG Cards are welcomed, but must fit the theme and the number to each question!

Any Artistic Skill Levels are welcomed, but high effort art is encouraged.

Digital Art is acceptable if you have the means to print it on an ATC.

However, NO ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENT (A.I.) ART IS ALLOWED. EVERYTHING MUST BE DONE BY HAND, EVEN IF IT IS DIGITAL. DON'T JUST PRINT OUT A STOCK POKéMON IMAGE.

Please include on the back:

• Title of ATC Swap

• Name of Artist

• Name of POKéMON / Character

• Date

• *OPTIONAL* Contact Info *OPTIONAL*

Protective sleeve + backing card

Swap Details:

• Number of ATCs to send: 6

• Pick One of the Two Themes for your POKéMON Party.

EITHER:

• One POKéMON You loved as a Kid

• One POKéMON that feels like (embodies) You

• One POKéMON that represents Strength

• One POKéMON that represents Comfort

• One POKéMON You think is Underrated

• One POKéMON that Represents Growth / Your favorite Evolution (Since growing is also considered "evolving.")

Write the first names that come to mind. That’s your team.

If you would like to change some attributes you may.

Example: If you would rather have a POKéMON represent LOVE instead of STRENGTH. Then you may change it to whatever you would like, but just keep it on theme with the ATC Swap.

ALSO, if doesn't necessarily have to be a POKéMON, if there is a Trainer, Gym Leader, Professor, Team Rocket Member, etc. that you think best represents that Question, then you may make Art of that character.

I am just trying to make it inclusive for all who would like to participate.

Write a brief letter explaining why you chose these POKéMON for the Questions OR for your All-Star Team.

*OPTIONAL* Create a caricature of Yourself as a POKéMON Trainer on a ATC OR Drawn on Your Letter.

If one is proficient with Digital Art, then they may print your caricature out on an ATC or your letter.

Pixel Art is fine as well. *OPTIONAL*

If this swap goes well, I may host additional Art-Focused POKéMON ATC swaps later this year to celebrate all-year round.

Deadlines:

• Sign-ups close: February 6th

• Cards must be mailed by: February 27th (POKéMON Day)

Life happens and you need to drop out after the signup deadline, please message me early — no hard feelings. I know 6 ATCs is a lot for one swap.
