Ephesians 2:8-9

There is no way to predict whether you will be diagnosed with a life-altering disease. We can't know for sure if our house will flood or if we will lose our jobs. Many things are unknowns. There is one thing you can be assured of if you have trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior: the fact that you have eternal life in heaven with God. First John 5:13 says that we may KNOW that we have eternal life. It does not say that we can HOPE or DREAM or IMAGINE. It says that we may KNOW. It means that you don't ever have to wonder again or doubt that you will truly spend eternity in heaven. It is not about how good you are or aren't. It is a free gift that came to you at the time of your salvation. God doesn't take that gift back! The next time Satan tempts you to doubt this fact, read 1 John 5:13 again and tell Satan to stay away from you! God wants you to be assured of where you are going.
