AIA: Large Mixed Media Grid Painting

Here's a fun and maybe challenging project for all of you wonderful artists! I wanted to change out my paintings in one of my bathrooms and found Denise Love 2lilowlsstudio on YouTube. She’s incredibly inspiring, and her abstract watercolor & mixed‑media minis are perfect for this group! (Swap image is my own)

For this swap, you'll create a 9"x12" watercolor grid painting, then add other media like stenciling, ink pen, pencil marking, stamping, and whatever else you'd like. I'd like everyone to follow one of her mini composition layouts for this swap, meaning a bunch of mini paintings on one 9"x12" piece of watercolor paper. Mine come out with 9 mini's (2.5"x3.5" each) per sheet but hers come out to 12...it's all good!

👉🏼Color Pallets Take a look around the site and choose from an amazing, wide variety of pallets. Seriously, once I was on this site, I ended up printing out my own random mini pallet swatches on cardstock to create my own "Color Cube" and have used them for so much inspiration.

Regarding postage: Yes, this is a larger piece, but it should cost well under $3 to send USPS. I calculated a 9"x12" 3-oz from CA to NY and it was only $2.17 First-Class Mail® Large Envelope.
